Mansarovar is the highest fresh water lake in the world, located 30 km southeast of Mount Kailash in Tibet. The lake gives birth to the river Brahmaputra. As per the legends, the lake was created by Lord Brahma. It is believed that circumambulation of Mount_Kailash earns one salavtion, while a dip in the lake purifies the mind, body and soul.
